PEACH STATE LABS TO PRODUCE SOYMET™ BIOFUELS
FOR PLANT BOILER OPERATIONS AND DIESEL ENGINES
Monthly Production to Grow From 60,000 to 3 Million Gallons by 2005
Rome, Georgia (May 18, 2004) – Peach State Labs, a closely-held specialty polymer chemical company, today announced its plans to produce biodiesel, made from soybean oils and other renewable plant oils, for use in manufacturing plant energy and for use in diesel truck fleets. The company is currently on track to produce 60,000 gallons of SoyMet™ renewable source biofuels per month (starting this August), and plans to produce 3 million gallons per month by late 2005.
“ Peach State Labs has decided to produce biofuels in response to rising fuel prices, compliance and regulatory issues, customer demand and a desire to produce environmentally-friendly products,” says Rick Sargent, president and CEO of Peach State Labs. “Our biofuel products will help companies comply with government standards for sulphur emissions, while helping to reduce pollution.” Biodiesel fuel, like PSL’s SoyMet™, will help reduce U.S. reliance on foreign fuel sources and will help to reduce pollution.
Quick facts about PSL’s SoyMet products:
• SoyMet has zero petroleum toxins and lower emissions.
Primary byproducts of SoyMet
are Co2 and water vapors.
• SoyMet has 0.0003 percent sulphur, compared to 1.45 percent, found in
the top
selling fuels for manufacturing plant energy needs
• SoyMet produces 17,000 BTUs per pound – this is the equivalent
of #6 fuel
oil
• SoyMet burns much cleaner and produces the same amount of energy
• 3 Million gallons of SoyMet equals 375 tanker trucks per month of biodiesel

Peach State Labs
•
SoyMet will be manufactured as 100% biofuel for use in manufacturing boilers
used to make steam and B25 (25% SoyMet, 75% diesel fuel) for use in diesel-powered
trucks and automobiles
Peach State Labs has strong interest from Georgia-based companies and plans to announce new SoyMet customers over the course of the few months. Recently, the National Biodiesel Board reported that renewable fuels legislation now being considered for Senate energy packages could boost the U.S. economy by $300 billion and create as many as 300,000 new jobs in many sectors of the economy by 2016. In addition, increased use of American-made fuels, like biodiesel and ethanol, would generate an additional $71 billion (1996 dollars) of income for America over the next 15 years through increased gross production and job creation (source: www.biodiesel.com; National Biodiesel Board newsletter).
